I didn't think Abortion was illegal in Florida, nor was I aware that there were legal age limits. I doubt either are true, so it should get overturned.

Yeah, welcome to the Yeoooonited States of Amer'ca...Florida's one of the worst states (just ask my wife, she lived there for years and never wants to go back). Right now it's run as a private duchy by the brother of our alleged president. Jeb Bush recently said that he's bothered every time he has to enforce a law that runs counter to his fundamentalist Catholic beliefs.

It ain't just Florida, though. This could happen anywhere in the South. It's getting scary, very scary...

Always Florida. Well according to the New York Times a Florida judge has ruled yesterday that the girl is competent to have the abortion. Thank goodness for "activist judges". I have to say actually I don't have strong views regarding abortion. I understand both sides of the argument. The two sides are unable to agree as to what constitutes the beginnings of life. I doubt that argument will ever be resolved. But if one feels strongly that life begins with conception then of course one will vehemently oppose the termination of pregnancy. I tend to favour choice. I'm looking for the quote, but Jeb Bush said something like "I find it difficult to enforce laws that go against my fundamentalist Catholic views." Well then stay out of public office, a$$h0le, because that's your job.
